IMP Base Platform
The IMP Base Platform manages E-mail and messaging streams based on context and content. As the core of the IMP product family, the IMP Base Platform is typically deployed at the network edge or on internal boundaries of networks.
IMP Options
Customers can request extending the IMP Base Platform with various options, modules and third-party applications to address their specific requirements.
Applications
Through the Bizanga Messaging Eco-System - the global partnership program - customers can use best-of-breed vendor products and services certified to work with the IMP platform. As a result, customers deliver the highest quality E-mail and messaging systems on the market. Available on-platform applications range from security (anti-spam, anti-virus and reputation) and compliance (encryption and archiving) to certification and authentication systems.
Advanced Queue Management
Bizanga offers modules that enable differentiated queue management - to individually set queue parameters for outbound delivery or to provide diverse quality of service levels - based on a number of internal parameters of the workflow policy processor. Operators can apply these parameters to a variety of scenarios:
- Outbound queue management in high-volume environments
- Inbound queue management for differentiating individual quality of service classes based on customer type, E-mail type or other parameters
- Inbound queue management to minimize volume impact on the message store and internal infrastructure
Protocol Flow Control
The Protocol Flow Control toolkit is an extension to the workflow policy processor to add testable parameters of messaging and transport protocols, and initiate dynamic policies with new types of filters. This leads to significantly higher filtering rates and excellent protection of the messaging infrastructure from malicious E-mail load spikes.
IMP Central Data Repository
The IMP Central Data Repository is a special purpose deployment of the IMP. Its role is to supply a near real-time shared brain facility. This facilitates complex correlation of data internal to a cluster of IMP Base Platforms and external data to provide the following advantages:
- Higher-value complex messaging services
- Maximized filtering capabilities
- Attack detection and options for complex filtering rules
- Minimized network queries to outside systems
IMP Central Management
The IMP Centralized Management Platform is a special purpose deployment of the IMP. It provides configuration consolidation, statistics and logs, report generation, forensics and real-time visibility of clusters of IMPs. Bizanga can further cluster the IMP Central Management Platform to provide geographically dispersed management capability for multiple clusters with different policies and "identities."
Maintenance / SLA
The IMP product line is available with various maintenance options. These depend on the underlying hardware platform and the customer's support requirements. Such options range from factory-return warranties to 24/7 on-site repair with guaranteed response times. Bizanga can couple available service level agreements with purchased maintenance options. These include availability and latency guarantees, guarantees on filtering performance and others.

Bizanga provides professional services to support deployment or ongoing operations of Bizanga systems. The professional services are available on a tailored basis or through the Service Care Pack. The packaged offering provides technical services and monitoring as well as pro-active advisory and consulting services.
